General Info

Add a little color to the bath. This is a standard
Colored Grab Bar that's just right for commercial use.

For a nice clean installed look, the Colored Grab Bars have matching covers that snap over the flange to conceal the mounting hardware.

These are excellent for a disabled bathroom that requires a handicap shower or extra support for disabled living.

Installation Rating
Assembly is difficult, special skills may be required.
  • Due to the need to properly secure a grab bar, preferably to studs or blocking behind the wall, professional installation is recommended.
  • The flange holes are compatible with WingIts™ Fastening Bolt which are recommended if no studs or blocking is available. (See the "Accessories" tab for details.)
  • The length of the grab bar references only the bar itself. When measuring the wall space available to install a grab bar, please include the length of the grab bar plus an additional 3" for the flanges (1.5" on each side of the bar).

Accessories

AM2600 WingIt™:

WingIts allow you to install grab bars without a stud.The WingIt™ is like an oversized molly bolt. With 5/8" sheet rock (common in commercial facilities), no blocking is needed, which means there is no need to tear open and reconstruct existing walls, saving time and money.

In residential installations, it is still preferable to have blocking if you are installing over ˝" dry wall. (WingIts™ alone with ˝" drywall will only hold up to 250 pounds). However, installation over ceramic tile, tub surrounds, or marble do not require blocking and can handle up to 800 pounds.
