Moen® SecureMount® Designer Ultima with Curl Grip Grab Bar offers
a special rippled grip that you can really hold on to.

The Moen® SecureMount® Designer Ultima with Curl Grip Grab Bar has a rippled area under the bar that provides a natural groove for your fingers, improving your ability to grab the bar. With it's sleek look and special grip, the Ultima with Curl Grip Grab Bar from Moen® will help keep you steady while bathing.

The grab bars have a stainless steel core and are 1¼" in diameter, making them the right size to hold. The Designer grab bars are just 1½" from the wall, meeting ADA requirements!

The Moen® SecureMount® Designer Ultima with Curl Grip Grab Bars have a Secure Mount design, offering more flexibility when mounting the grab bar on the wall. (See the "How It Works" tab for more details)

These grab bars for bathrooms would be equally at home in a beautifully interior designed home as they would be in handicapped showers or a handicap bathroom.

Installation Rating
Assembly is difficult, special skills may be required.
  • Due to the need to properly secure a grab bar, professional installation is recommended.
  • The length of the grab bar references only the bar itself. When measuring the wall space available to install a grab bar, please include the length of the grab bar plus an additional 3" for the flanges (1.5" on each side of the bar).

How It Works

Secure Mount Grab Bars

"Secure Mount" refers to the way the grab bar is attached to the stud behind the wall. The mounting piece was designed to offer more flexibility to where you can place screws to secure the grab bar.

Standard Grab Bars are designed with three holes.

This often means only one screw can be used to attach the grab bar to the stud behind the wall.

 The stud may not be wide enough for you to attach the grab bar with more than one screw.
Moen's patented flange design gives you more options for securing the grab bar to the stud and makes it possible to use more than one screw for installation. Secure Mount grab bars provide more places for mounting hardware.

If you don't have 2 studs available where you need to install the grab bar, consider the Secure Mount Hardware. These specially designed toggle bolts distribute the additional torque (pull on the grab bar) that occurs during a fall. (See the "Accessories" tab for details.)

This Secure Mount hardware kit will help you install a grab bar without a stud.Secure Mount Hardware:
No studs or blocking are required because a portion of the hardware is inserted so that it spreads pressure across 3½" behind the wall. If you have only one stud available for mounting the grab bar, secure one side of the grab bar to it and use the Secure Mount Hardware for the other side. If you have two studs behind the wall to secure a grab bar, you do not need the Secure Mount Hardware. (2 per package.)
