High Gloss Square Vessel Sink

This Decolav^® Classically Redefined^®Square Vessel Sink has a
high gloss ceramic finish that makes your bathroom gleam.

Designed for use with wall mounted or counter mounted faucet styles, these beautiful sinks do not have holes for the faucet. It is made of vitreous china and includes a overflow hole.

While a vessel sink has not traditionally been considered wheelchair accessible, it certainly can be. This sink is 6" high and has a depth of 4". To be able to reach the bottom of the sink, the vessel must be placed on a countertop that is no higher than 28" H, making the sink rim 34". This height of countertop will allow maneuverability and clearance under the counter as well. Care should be taken not to extend the under-sink plumbing forward more than is absolutely necessary.

If you are creating a bathroom that will suit your current or future needs, consider the following design ideas:

• Use the height of the lowered counter for the rest of the bathroom.

• Explore varied counter heights in the bathroom; lower around the sink, higher elsewhere.

• The sink can also be placed on a vanity table if desired.

ADA Compliant Bathroom Sink:

• In order for a sink to meet ADA compliance, the depth cannot be greater than 6.5. Also, the available clearance under the sink must be at least 27" high to accommodate a person in a seated position.

• Plan knee space at the sink to allow for a seated user, at least 36" W x 27" H x 8" D, increasing to 17" deep in the toe space, which extends 9" from the floor.

• Although the counter may be at the correct height, the plumbing must be also constructed for the appropriate clearance.

Please keep in mind that in the residential setting, ADA compliance is not necessary. The ultimate test for appropriateness of counter height and vessel depth is the user's preference.

Installation Rating

Assembly is difficult, special skills may be required.

• The sink is sold without any hardware or plumbing accessories. You can find appropriate drains on this page.
• Requires a drain for proper installation.
• Two person installation is recommended.
• Please be sure that the sink complies with your local building codes.

The Umbrella Drain has a 2¾" diameter mushroom shape that fits neatly over the 1¾" drain hole. The whole piece is 7¹/8" L.

The Umbrella Drain is unique in that the drain closing button is built into the 2¾" diameter mushroom shaped cover. The whole piece is 7¹/8" L.

Faucets need to be at least 7" H with a handle that can be reached over the bowl. There are two types of faucets that work best with vessel sinks: wall mounted and counter mounted. We offer both in a variety of ADA compliant styles.
