|
If you are having trouble opening the doors in your home because you have a
mobility device, an automated door opener is the answer.
Reaching locks or knobs can be a hassle when you use a powerchair, wheel chair or walker. Positioning yourself to accommodate the swing of the door can be difficult. Why not open the door be opened with the push of a button? No more positioning, no more struggling for keys!
When the button on the remote is pushed, the Open Sesame Automatic Door Opener will
Release and open a locked (or unlocked) door
Pause opened for entrance or exit
Close automatically, returning the door to its locked position
You can also extend the time the door is open (e.g for a pet or to get some fresh air). Push the remote control again once the door is open and the door to stay open as long as you like. To close the door, simply push the remote one more time. This leaves the door free-swinging for manual use.
The residential automated door opener is compact and barely noticeable. It runs smoothly and quietly. It can be mounted for inward and outward opening doors in right-hand or left-hand hinged configurations. The minimum ceiling clearance is 1¼" between the top of the door and the ceiling.
The Open Sesame Residential System includes:
One door operator to open and close the door (including the 12V battery).
One electric strike plate to release the door latch.
One remote control (transmitter) to operate the door from the inside or the outside. (Optional transmitters are shown on the Accessories Tab.)
One low voltage wiring kit with an AC adapter, wiring and a junction box.
When the door opener is installed, the door can still be opened manually. The system can open a locked door for you or you can still use a key. An internal backup battery, which lasts about 3 years, can operate the unit for a few hours without power. The batteries in the remote are common and should be replaced after 1 year.
