|
The top of the Wave Entrance Door Lever Handle has a slightly curved look.
|
|
The Wave Entrance Door Lever Handle is easy to install
and easier to use than standard door knobs.
No grasping or twisting. Press down on the lever with your forearm, wrist or hand to open the latch. Easier to use when you are using a mobility aid, pushing a stroller or carrying groceries.
The lever handles are 'field reversible', meaning that you can change the orientation of the handset as part of the installation. Matching deadbolts are available. (See the "Accessories" tab for details.)

Knob Types
Privacy Door Knob Set: Has a locking mechanism in one knob of the set. A privacy knob is commonly used for bathrooms or bedrooms.
Passage Door Knob Set: No locking mechanism in either knob.
Keyset or Entry Door Knob Set: One side has a key lock inset and the other side has a locking knob inset. Sometimes used for an office, but more common as an exterior entry handle into the building. (Consider a dead bolt for additional security.)
Dummy Door Knob: One door knob for doors that push or pull. There is no latch mechanism. (This style provides a consistent look for double doors or pantry doors that are not latched closed.)
Door Knob Parts (for Passage & Privacy Door Knobs)
Handle Set: Two knobs or levers
Latch: The 'tongue' that extends from the door edge. The latch catches on the strike plate and settles into the chiseled out groove in the door jamb.
Strike Plate: A metal plate that is placed on the door frame to reinforce it, preventing the wood from wearing down.
Pawl: Sometimes called the 'backset', this is the portion of the latch that passes through the door frame and the door hole for the door knob. When you select a doorknob set, this piece determines whether the new knob will fit.
Face Plate: The piece that surrounds the latch on the side of the door.
