Heavy Duty Fold Down Bracket

Heavy duty Folding Brackets create a workspace right where you need it.

Do you need a surface for folding laundry in the laundry room, baking in the kitchen, doing paperwork in the guest room? Whether you are very tall or very short, this fold down shelf bracket can help you create a surface right where you need it.

We particularly liked this bracket because the quick release mechanism at the front of the bracket is very accessible and easy to use. You don't have to struggle to release the bracket when you want to store the shelf.

The 12" fold down shelf brackets will accommodate an 16" deep shelf. The 16" fold down shelf brackets will accommodate a 24" deep shelf.

The resulting surface is stable enough to work on and can be closed and stored out of the way when not in use.

Installation Rating

Assembly is moderately difficult, some tools or strength
may be required.

• How many brackets? The choice depends on the length of the shelf and the weight of what will be on the shelf.
• How many brackets also depends on the use. There is an intermediary stop so the hinge won't slam closed, making it a little more difficult for one person to close more than 2 hinges or a shelf wider than 3 feet.

Please Note: If the bracket doesn't seem plumb before you install a shelf, the brackets need a little play when releasing. You must lift slightly to release the lock on the bracket. Therefore the bracket angle in the most extended position possible is slighty more than 90°, but the 'locked' position is plumb.
